Pre Natal
class focuses on posture and strengthening and toning
the muscles that are under strain throughout your pregnancy.
Preparing your body for labor and learning how to relax and
breathe so that you enjoy every stage of this wonderful journey.
Post Natal class focuses on regaining correct posture after
the birth of your baby, retraining and toning the muscles back to strength
and shape before you became pregnant. Learning safe and effective exercises
and learning how to allow you as a new Mum some time to breathe.
Pre and post natal Personal Training
Regardless whether you are trying to conceive, are expecting
or have just recently had a baby, optimal fitness & health
can be achieved, and maintained throughout the trimesters
and beyond with personalised Pre & Postnatal Fitness
Training.
At Manuka Health we offer specialised pre/post natal coaching
from a personal trainer with emphasis on safety for mother
and baby.
Mums-to-be are taken through a program that is tailored
specifically for pregnant women. As the baby grows and the
Mum’s shape changes throughout the trimesters so too
does her training plan to allow for changes in her body and
increased energy demands.
Pregnancy is not a time to get fit or loose weight; but it is a vital
time for Mums to take care of themselves and their baby by building physical
and mental strength and stamina to prepare Mum for labor and ultimately
the demands of a newborn.
Post Natal Training is when Mums can look to getting fit,
losing weight and regaining their pre-pregnancy shape. Your
personal trainer will provide you with the motivation and
guidance working through a specific training program focusing
on the major mummy muscles.
At Manuka Health we understand the emotional, as well as the physical,
impact of pregnancy on new Mums. We provide support and instill confidence
during those challenging first few months building Mum’s strength
both physically and mentally. One-to-one coaching ensures all exercises
are done safely and effectively by targeting the correct areas – having
Mum back to herself in no time.
Pilates
Pilates focuses on regaining correct posture after the birth of your baby, retraining and toning the muscles back to strength and shape before you became pregnant.
Classes are kept small to allow the instructor to customize the routines for each client providing a safe and effective workout.

Postnatal Pilates for Mums with Babies – afternoon classes
In the first class of the Beginners course we go through in detail how your body has changed through pregnancy and how we will work to develop core strength and good posture. Your baby comes along and lies with you on the floor, or in their buggy if you wish (buggies are allowed in the room at the Eric Liddell Centre). It is a relaxed class where your baby takes priority; you can feed, change nappies or walk around and observe the class if they need your full attention.
Postnatal Pilates – evening classes
Classes start a little later than usual at 8.30pm, to allow Mums a little extra time after putting the baby down and Dad’s/partners take over
Hip/Hop Dance
Give your mind and body a workout in this energetic dance class to suit all levels. The class is high aerobic; hip-hop is an aggressive form of dance, so you will get a great workout. Hip-Hop is non-partner dancing to contemporary music, so we can leave our husbands/partners at home to baby-sit!
No experience necessary so if you’re interested in having fun and learning the newest dance moves this is the class for you!
